Supported chains

Nymra scans EVM chains: Ethereum and every chain that uses the same address format. One address is one identity on all of them, which is why a scan reads several chains at once. Solana and other non-EVM chains are not part of V1.

The open chain register holds 31 EVM chains. A scan in the Terminal reads the 17 that are on by default. The engine reads the other 14 too when it is asked for them by chain id, for example when you run it yourself. Most chains work without a key, straight from your browser. BNB Smart Chain and Linea need a free key, so they are read only through the Nymra relay, which holds it. Adding a chain is one line in the register, so the list grows without changing the rules.

These tables are read from the register in the privacy-scan repository when the docs are built, so they always match what the scan does.

Every chain also has a public RPC node for the quick check: one call that tells whether the address ever sent a transaction there or holds the native coin. If neither, the explorer is not asked.

Read from the register as well, and shown in the coverage of every result:

  • Robinhood Chain: Robinhood Chain has no traces and no archive state: internal ETH transfers (for example a withdrawal paid out by a contract) are invisible. Normal transactions and token transfers are complete.
  • BNB Smart Chain: BNB Smart Chain is read through NodeReal: internal BNB transfers and calldata are not listed, so contracts are only recognised by their tokens. Funder checks around a date are not available here.

A plain transaction moves native coins (ETH, POL, AVAX and so on) from one address to another, and every explorer shows it. A contract can also move native coins, for example when a swap pays out in ETH. Those internal transfers only show on chains whose nodes keep traces. Where traces are missing, native coins that reached a wallet through a contract are invisible to the scan.

A chain can be added when it is EVM compatible and has a free explorer API that returns the transactions and token transfers of an address: without a key, or with a free key that the relay can hold. Open an issue in the privacy-scan repository with the chain id and the explorer.
